Every person brought into the world has particular aims, dreams, and goals. Embarking on the journey to pursue these dreams and goals, one chooses the path of success. After achieving the desired success, people usually look for more opportunities and ways to grow personally and professionally. The twist lies in the story where these successful people build success grounds and help and encourage others to succeed. It makes them role models for other people, gradually increasing role models for a society and a community. These individuals become a source of motivation for others, uplifting their self-esteem and self-confidence. One such individual working for the betterment of society, and the community with a positive mindset, all in all, is Dr. Howard Seth Gitlow.
Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining
In the wake of achieving something huge, one of Dr. Gitlow’s significant achievements was “Deming-based Lean Six Sigma Management”, which synthesizes Dr. W. Edwards Deming’s theory of management, the administrative systems of Japanese Total Quality Control, the tools and methods of Six Sigma Management, and Lean Thinking.
Continuous Effort and Struggle Encourages Others to Grow
Dr. Gitlow searched for motivation to help him stay spurred throughout his career. As far as he might be concerned, each experience was his motivation. Hehas been working as a Full Tenure Professor in the Management Science Department at Miami Herbert Business School, the University of Miami, since 1977. He paid special attention to synthesizing Deming-based Lean Six Sigma Management theory and practice.
Dr. Gitlowworked as an Assistant Professor at Baruch College, of the City University of New York, from 1974 to 1976. He was a visiting professor at the Stern School of Business at New York University from 2007 to 2014 and at the Tokyo University of Science in 1990, where he studied with Dr. Noriaki Kano. Dr. Gitlow has always endeavored to motivate and encourage others to progress in life despite their circumstances.
