Jordan: Year One Business Learnings:

Value People: Give everyone 100% no matter how big or small, and don’t ever “Out Grow” anyone.

Limitless Mindset: Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re right. Anchoring yourself to a “humble” goal will only keep you attached to it.

Gut Feeling: If you feel off about something, take action immediately, even if it costs income.

Keep Driving: Stay in the driver’s seat, you can outsource as much as possible, and hire great people to do great things, but no one will ever be as passionate about your business as you.

No Discounts: I always thought discounts would get a deal closed, but in reality, it only makes a client value your service less.

Always learn: Knowledge is invaluable. You can either do it now and spend 20 hours learning from mistakes, or learn from others now for 10 hours and avoid mistakes.

Be Visible: Branding is critical, get noticed. If you want to fast-track it you can pay for it, otherwise, be consistent and provide real value.

Find a rhythm: I get more done between 5-7 am than I do during the rest of the day, some days of the week work better for certain tasks and work to the beat and flow of the business.

Healthy Balance: I tend to burn myself out on 50-60+ hour work weeks, it’s unhealthy and affects my performance. Don’t try to “push through it”, take a break, and reset.

Family First: Don’t use the excuse “I’m working hard for my kids”, your kids don’t want an inheritance in 60 years, they want you as a parent today.

Goals setting: Never decrease targets, only increase activity
