Megan Soo, a dynamic Asian-Canadian artist with talents spanning acting, singing, and content creation, is making her mark on the global entertainment industry. Hailing from Toronto and boasting a unique heritage that combines Korean and Trinidadian roots, Megan’s music is a vibrant fusion of K-pop, dancehall, and soca, which she aptly calls K-Hall. Her acting career kicked off with a role alongside Vin Diesel in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, and she has since garnered recognition for her memorable performances, including her portrayal of Sam in the TV series Weirdos. Driven by a determination to challenge stereotypes and break casting cliches, Megan wrote, directed, and starred in TALES, a feature film that addresses the lack of diverse roles in the industry. Through platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, Megan shares glimpses of her life and career, offering a delightful mix of humor and authenticity to her growing fan base.
Megan’s passion for dance blossomed at a young age, with her active participation in various genres such as Acro, Jazz, Bellydance, and Bollywood. The multicultural atmosphere of her upbringing in Toronto heavily influenced her online persona, affectionately known as the “Mixed Chick from the 6.”
Her impressive body of work spans across multiple platforms, including appearances in notable projects such as the Sex/Life TV series, Foe, Weirdos TV series, Tales TV series, Christmas on 5th Avenue TV movie, I’ll Take Your Dead, The Machine TV movie, Mary Kills People TV series, and xXx: Return of Xander Cage.

Megan’s journey into the entertainment industry took an unexpected turn after high school when she ventured into background acting to fund her travel plans. The excitement of being on set immediately captured her heart, leading her to pursue auditions, refine her acting skills, and ultimately land her breakthrough role in Return of Xander Cage. Her passion for performance, nurtured during her participation in beauty pageants like Miss Asia Canada and the international Miss SuperTalent in Seoul, where she represented Trinidad & Tobago, propelled her into the realm of music.
Despite facing resistance from her traditional Asian family and societal expectations, Megan remained steadfast in her pursuit of a career in the arts. She left her job in Kinesiology, took on multiple roles to finance her dreams, and made the bold decision to relocate to Los Angeles, seeking greater opportunities despite the challenges of visa procedures and expenses.
As an Asian/Caribbean Canadian artist, Megan is determined to revolutionize the entertainment industry, advocating fervently for Asian and mixed-race artists. Her mission is to create more opportunities for multiracial talents, demonstrating that when existing roles don’t align, it’s time to forge your own path.
In managing her public relations, Megan has partnered with GTK PR Agency. With the guidance of Sherry Lee, GTK PR Agency will oversee Megan’s public image and media relations, effectively showcasing her multifaceted talents to the world.
