Here we sit down with Phi, to know a bit more about her journey as an entrepreneur.

Q. Tell us a little more about your journey as an entrepreneur – how did you get started? What inspired you?

Phi: My journey as an entrepreneur has been unexpected, wild, and wonderful. I never intended to be one, nor did I ever think I would be one! During the global pandemic, I finally had spare time which I used to finally launch a passion project of mine on mental health. I am so passionate about mental health because people don’t talk about it enough or it is taboo – there is no shame. Mental health is just as important as your physical health.

My passion project was an anonymous Instagram page under the branding of ‘in her vitality’. A post on men’s mental health went viral and within 3 months I had 10,000 organic followers. Following that people started asking about who I was and if I could help them. I became a life coach as a side hustle in October 2020 and within a year in September 2021 handed in my resignation to go full-time and all in on life coaching. As of July 2022, I made 6 figures not because I set out to but because I am fully in alignment with my heart and soul, doing what I love – helping people.

Q. What’s one thing in your routine that you do consistently that has made a huge difference in your personal or business life?

Phi: Prioritising and making time for my self-care! It’s a non-negotiable for me to do something for myself before the rest of the world.

I don’t just give from a full cup, I give from an overflowing cup. For me, that’s starting the day with an ocean swim or ice bath.

Q. Who are your mentors and inspiration? and what knowledge or insight did they give to you that was valuable?

Phi: My biggest inspiration to date has been my parents. They are both such hard workers and gave me the work ethic that I have.

My dad’s last words to me were ‘be brave’ and that has served me well. My mum has taught me the importance of listening to your heart always.

Q. What has been your most satisfying moment in business?

Phi: Gosh it’s so hard to say, can I say two? First of all, a lifelong dream of mine is to be a published author and that is underway with my book coming out in June 2023 with The Kind Press.

Secondly, having hit 6 figures in my business in less than 1 year after going full time in my business. Not only that I surpassed my corporate income doing half the hours, if not even less than that!

Q. How do you market your business, and which tactics have been most successful?

Phi: I market my business mainly on Instagram. I’m unconventional in the sense I don’t have strategies or tactics. I show up in alignment with my heart and soul as a manifesting generator (human design). I write. Through my posts, I regularly book out months in advance for 1:1 coaching and human design readings despite never actually posting about them! It truly is energetic attraction-based marketing.

I would also say I run a ‘feminine’ business in the sense that I do what feels good and in flow, supported by masculine structures. A game changer of course has been investing in my own coaches over $30,000 which truly enabled me to quantum leap to new levels of abundance and personal growth.

Q. What has been your biggest failures or challenges?

Phi: Fear. Isn’t that for everyone? Especially taking that leap of faith to go from side hustle to full-time in my own business. The scarcity mentality of will I make enough money? Leaving the ‘security’ of a corporate job especially as I not only fund my own lifestyle but retired my mum early too.

Q. How did this failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success?

Phi: Feeling the fear and doing it anyway is so empowering. It’s a true testament to not only talking the talk but walking the walk. It’s shown me I am human, I feel a full spectrum of emotions but that doesn’t hinder me (as societal conditioning would dictate).

My feelings are my superpower and have led me to sharp intuitive decisions and wholehearted service to my clients. Having been in their shoes and gone first, to guide them how.

Q. If someone was to create a TV show about you, what would it be about and what would it be called?

Phi: I would love that. It would be in alignment with my upcoming book – details are under wrap but I’m very excited. A book to spark an awakened revolution is coming soon. A book of our times for the modern woman.

It’s time to flip the narrative and concepts of self-help and personal development, by doing something different.
