Meet the Founder of TrackingSuite LLC, Garrett Jackson

Garrett Jackson is originally from the USA but currently lives in Germany. He runs an agency here and uses the money from that to bootstrap my startup TrackingSuite.

TrackingSuite is an app that allows you to prospect new clients fast with AI. It is a great way for agencies to send hyper-targeted offers to potential clients.

Here we sit down with Garrett, to know a bit more about his journey as a marketer.

Q. What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?

Garrett: My father died when I was  22 shortly before he was supposed to retire.

I realized that life is very short and I would prefer to do something that I enjoy in MY TIME and not someone else’s. The money you can get back but time is something you can.

Q. How did you get started?

Garrett: I had a couple of failed businesses before and most of that was due to the fact that I was inexperienced. Finally, I got everything together and learned how to properly run a business. I started prospecting potential clients on Linkedin and fine-tuning my sales skills. Once I was able to do well with that I was able to bring in new clients and close contracts. I used the money from my marketing company to fund my software.

Q. What was your biggest startup challenge? What steps did you take to overcome it? What did you learn?

Garrett: The biggest startup challenge that I have had is finding customers. The industry that I am working in already has a lot of noisy competition, Ironically my app is designed to help people stand out from the noise.

Q. What is the Most Memorable Thing You’ve Done Since you Started your Business?

Garrett: I got accepted into the Web Summit event in Lisbon Portugal. Was a great way to showcase my business.

Q. What is one book you recommend, and why?

Garrett: Leaders Eat Last

Why Some Teams Pull Together and Others Don’t – Simon Sinek

It is a great book about leadership that I recommend to any entrepreneur that wants to self-reflect on themselves and improve communication and leadership inside their team.

Q. In terms of legacy, what is the mark you’d like to leave on the world?

Garrett: Well I don’t know if that is going to happen because the world is so small and I am a nobody atm. But it would be cool to set a new standard for how “cold outreach” is done. I think everyone deserves a personal experience.

Q. In one sentence, what’s the best advice you’d give to someone just starting out on their entrepreneurial journey?

Garrett: Don’t be scared to fail. Always innovate
