Matteo Della Putta: An Italian Talent Conquering Hollywood

The artistic and cultural pull has always been a part of Matteo Della Putta’s life. Born in Cremona, Italy, Matteo was deeply moved by both the arts and humanitarian issues. A pivotal English teacher in middle school introduced him to the vastness beyond his local surroundings, kindling a lasting interest in different languages, myriad cultures, and the allure of travel. Led by this teacher’s guidance, Matteo plunged into the linguistic world during his specialized high school years, exploring English, French, and German languages along with their rich literature. Despite his linguistic pursuits, the urge for artistic expression always held a special place in his heart.

At the age of 16, Matteo embarked on his artistic journey by joining a local theatre group, “VarieAzioni,” in Cremona. From ensemble roles in the group’s debut production to more intricate characters like Haemon in “Antigone,” Matteo’s journey in the theatre marked a significant chapter, reinforcing his love for acting and steering him towards his artistic aspirations.

After high school, he relocated to Los Angeles to join the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts (AADA), further refining his acting abilities. However, the unexpected onset of a global pandemic forced him to interrupt his studies and return to Italy. Despite the upheaval, Matteo demonstrated resilience and used this time to further his personal and artistic development. He enrolled in the New York Film Academy (NYFA) in Florence and took an online psychology course to understand human behavior and emotions more deeply.
