Here we sit down with Alexandra, to know a bit more about her journey as a wellness coach.

Q. What inspired Alexandra to become an entrepreneur?

Alexandra: In my own life, I was frustrated by cycles, rules, and diets. When I finally found a macro-based life was the one for me, I became disenchanted by the lack of understanding coaches had about busy professional’s lifestyles and communication patterns and I decided it was time for me to carve a niche in a population that really deserves a hands-on approach to wellness as a whole.

Q. What was your biggest startup challenge? What steps did you take to overcome it? What did you learn?

Alexandra: There were a few! Phew! But looking back I think what my business coach at the time was always saying, “imperfect action is still active,” and I really needed to hear that when I was starting out. I felt paralyzed by the to-do list and making sure all of my ducks were in a row, but once I started focusing on imperfect action it really helped to put things into perspective with how much I had already accomplished!

Q. What is the Most Memorable Thing did Alexandra Done Since you Started your Business?

Alexandra: This is going to sound so cliché. But, whenever a coachee (which is what I refer to my ‘clients’ as because I believe each of them is coaches of themselves, they may need some guidance to light that fire) has a win, they are all memorable and I find myself whenever I start with a new coachee, thinking of all those I have coached in the past. From breaking up with the all-or-nothing mindset, to running a mile without stopping, to taking rest days, to drinking more water, to meditation, my coachees have succeeded in many realms of their life and I am honored to have been a part of their journey.

What is one book you recommend, and why?

Alexandra: I love The Power of Moments by Chip and Dan Heath—I have actually read it 3 times and find it very applicable to any industry as I have read it during different stages of my career. I think that something that stands out from the book is “break the script,” we need to empower ourselves to think out of the box and do the unexpected, it doesn’t always have to be by the rules or even worse “because it’s what we’ve always done.”

What are your top 3 favourite online apps, tools, or resources and what do you love about them?

Alexandra: Does texting count? I think this is still such a great way to quickly connect and I love being able to check in with my coachees with a text. I also just started using Notion which is a productivity app on the web, the possibilities for an organization with this are endless but so far I am loving it! I also love it.

In one sentence, what’s the best advice you’d give to someone just starting out on their entrepreneurial journey?

Alexandra: What –and how—you do things when you first start out might change and evolve as you become more comfortable in your journey and identify new ways to do things and your routine – always keep an open mind, and ask for help when you need it!
