Founder of Botoplace Reimagines How People Get Their Botox

In 2020, The American Society of Plastic Surgeons found Botox injections to be the most popular non-invasive cosmetic procedure. Since 2010, the procedure’s popularity even increased by 28 percent among 20 to 29-year-olds. Millions clamor for the injections that relax facial muscles and restore skin’s youthful appearance, but the industry remains surprisingly inaccessible.

“It’s difficult to schedule a Botox appointment in the US,” Carla Castro, founder of Botoplace, explains. “The best practitioners only perform injections once or twice a week in large med spas. On top of that, not one clinic in the US offers transparent pricing. Doctors charge by the unit, but don’t inform clients how many units they will use ahead of time. They push procedures like laser treatments or hair removal in addition to Botox. Given Botox’s popularity, it’s hard to believe there isn’t a trusted and convenient place to go for treatments. I came to the US to revolutionize this industry.”

Carla Castro and Botoplace innovate a new protocol for Botox treatments

After extensive research, Castro arrived from Brazil with a solution. Her new clinic, Botoplace, is the first walk-in, flat-rate, Botox-only clinic in the US.

Castro has a decade of experience marketing in Brazil’s health and beauty sector. In this role, she gained valuable insights into consumers’ pain points. When Covid-19 hit Brazil, however, it wreaked havoc on the country’s economy. Castro decided the time was right to apply for a green card and bring her expertise to America.

“Bringing this ground-breaking concept to the US wasn’t easy,” she confides. “I consulted with lawyers to build our protocols, and we partnered with an outstanding board-certified dermatologist.”

Botoplace offers a unique customer experience

The customer experience at Botoplace is entirely unique. Customers walk in for their treatments anytime, and each initial consultation begins with a complementary computerized skin analysis.

“We use the most advanced technology to provide detailed facial scans for our clients,” says Castro. “Dermatology offices and med spas offer this consultation for a fee, but we analyze your skin and offer our skincare recommendations whether or not you purchase Botox.”

During appointments, physicians and staff at Botoplace educate clients about individual skincare needs. “We take time to teach everyone about the products we use and the importance of daily self-care,” Castro remarks. “We will answer all of your questions. In fact, our clients know enough when they leave to explain the various procedures and toxins to their friends.”

Botoplace treats all three trouble spots for wrinkles, including the forehead, between the eyebrows, and the area beside the eyes where crow’s feet appear. The clinic offers these procedures for one transparent price. Clients never encounter upsells, extra charges, or hidden fees. Within 15 days, customers return for a touch-up appointment free of charge.

Convenient and accessible Botox treatments can be preventative

Clients often ask Castro when they should start using Botox. She tells them the earlier, the better. “Starting early prevents dynamic wrinkles from progressing. If you want to see dynamic wrinkles, raise your eyebrows, furrow your brow, or make an exaggerated smile. Over the years, these lines become static, meaning you see them all the time. Botoplace minimizes the appearance of both dynamic and static lines, and even prevents dynamic lines from turning into static lines.”

The procedure is not just a money maker for Castro. It’s a treatment she believes in wholeheartedly. For the past 15 years, she’s received regular treatments and is happy to stand by the results. “When I look into the mirror each morning, I feel so fresh and awake. It gives me such confidence. I am almost 50 years old now, and I am able to see the benefit of Botox over time. I don’t look like I’m 50 because I’ve been taking care of myself for years.”

Botoplace opened its doors two months ago and has already treated over 200 customers. Castro’s plans for the near future involve six more South Florida locations. “Our vision is a high-end facility that offers procedures at affordable prices,” she says. “You don’t have to be rich or famous to love what you see in the mirror. Botoplace makes expert physicians and the highest standards of care accessible to everyone.”
