With October being Emotional Awareness Month, we wanted to turn to the experts for advice with meditation and lifestyle coach Felipe Munoz. Munoz is an internationally certified meditation teacher and life coach and strives to help others achieve the best possible version of themselves through his family-owned wellness center Empathic Practice.
Located in Pensacola, Florida, Empathic Practice provides holistic medicine, meditation classes, corporate training, cannabis coaching, mindset coaching, as well as a variety of workshops that center around spirituality, creative thinking, positive psychology and flow.
Munoz’s goal is to focus on mindfulness as a tool for transcendence and using the two to help thread a narrative of wellbeing and strength for a happy life.
Working to attain your best ‘emotionally well’ self, Felipe has provided a few tips to better and elevate one’s self.
- Mindfulness: Acknowledge what is happening in front of you that you can accept and realize the items that you can change.
- Perspective of Hope: Ask yourself “Can I change my perspective, my persistent and my patience?”
- Building Resilience: You are your greatest cheerleader and advocate! Remind yourself of your successes of the day. Be open and honest to yourself. Believe in yourself and keep your expectations realistic.
- Laugh It Off: Humor transcends preoccupation. Find ways to see the silver lining in tough situations. How can you find the silver lining?
- Gratitude: Reflect on what you are grateful for each day. This is one of the biggest challenges I can teach and the most valuable of lessons.
- Minimizing Stress: Stress is everywhere in life. We need stress to grow (like plants grow from seeds). Stress is important but we don’t need to bring more stress to our lives than what is already there.
This is a work based on Positive Psychology tools and spiritual motivation from experiences living in a world constantly in crisis. All of the below release hormones in your body to elevate your mood:
- Breathwork
- Meditation
- Reflection
- Intention
- Visualization
- Manifesting
