Here we sit down with Mish, to know a bit more about his journey as an entrepreneur.

Q. Tell us a little more about your journey as an entrepreneur – how did you get started? What inspired you?

Mish: They say out of adversity comes opportunity. Mish Daniel is a shining example of the kind of tenacity and ingenuity it takes to find success out of hardship. Mish grew up in a cold war-torn area of South Africa. The youngest of five children, she and her family struggled financially and endured numerous personal tragedies. What might devastate others didn’t stop Mish. Her innate positive and innovative personality always sought better.

From a very young age, Mish began creating and building. It started with beautiful houses stitched together from cardboard, and plastic, and inspired vision. By the age of 14, she landed her first sales position and discovered her natural selling abilities. By the age of 16, she became the top-selling employee at a title company — a feat difficult for even the most experienced salesperson. She was a natural.

Through her teenage years, her employment allowed her to interact with the elite rich. No longer wanting to be on the outside looking in, she set a goal to accomplish that level of success. At age 23, she bought her first investment property, not yet knowing this would be the foundation of her success.

Her last job in South Africa was the turning point in her career. After four years of unparalleled success securing massive contracts for a manufacturing company, she ventured out on her own. She founded Pro-Add Pty Ltd in 1999 and grew it into a multi-million-dollar manufacturing plant supporting brands like Reebok, Adidas, and Puma.

Facing another setback when her warehouse burned down, Mish saw this as yet another opportunity. Wanting a new canvas for her life, she sold her company and moved to Australia with only 8% of her wealth intact. It was here that her dreams and talent intersected to set her on a trajectory to ultimate success.

Having already accumulated over 16 commercial and 10 residential properties in South Africa, she started building her Australian portfolio — but with a twist. Not only did Mish grow her own wealth, but she also began helping others build theirs. She began mentoring clients who were eager to learn how to turn their dreams into reality. She now builds their property investment skills and teaches them how to accumulate wealth by selecting the right investment properties to match their goals.

By 2020, Mish Daniel has secured over $21 million in acquisitions and is recognised throughout the country as a highly sought-after coach and celebrated commercial buyer’s agent, winning numerous awards. She guides the everyday investor to success through accountability, compassion, and breadth of knowledge that only comes from a lifetime of experience and an innate desire to help others.

Q. What entrepreneurial tricks have you discovered to keep you focused and productive in your day-to-day busy schedule?

Mish: I love to listen to one of my mentor’s podcasts while walking my dog first thing in the morning. Mentors like: Wayne Dyer, Tony Robins, Bob Proctor & Jay Shetty to name a few. I meditate and set clear intentions for the day.

When I left South Africa in my mid-forties, I came to Australia with my young family and a mere fraction of the wealth I had amassed.

I walked away from my clothing manufacturing business which included 3 factories and 400 staff.
I walked away from a property portfolio of 29 assets.

But I knew it was worth it to give my daughters a better life, free from the violence I had witnessed.

I had been attacked four times.

I have had rehabilitated after being put in a wheelchair.

I have withstood one of my factories burning to the ground.

But they couldn’t take away the experience I had gained, the skills my parents had taught me, and my indomitable spirit.

I applied it all to rebuilding my family’s life, by investing in commercial property in my new home country – Australia.

I founded Resolve Commercial to help other people build their own portfolios.

Q. How do you stay organised with such a busy schedule? What are some time management strategies, SOPS (standard operating procedures), hires, or hacks that have helped you dramatically in business

Mish: I have surrounded myself with intelligent, organised, and successful team members that assist me with the daily tasks, updating my calendar and keeping me on track with the most important jobs for the day.

Last but not least, I support women in business and would like to see more women tipping the balance of power, by empowering other women into the industry too.

Mish:  Gratitude  – Feel it –  Achieve it. ( I am busy finalising my book at the moment!)
