Building A Bridge To Good Health Through Graphic Design

As graphic design practices evolve, more people have come to understand it as its own language used to convey ideas and meaning that can be either unique or universal depending on its intent. Many have used graphic design to innovate, overcoming traditional language barriers, and one design agency is looking to push the envelope. Canberra-based design studio, Bridge Creations, is an agency that works closely with the health industry, using their expertise to help health-based businesses and entrepreneurs to express their vision.

Bridge Creations’ founder, Nhat Tran, uses his passion for sport, fitness and his own health and well-being journey to lead the vision of Bridge Creations – informing, inspiring and impacting through his designs. “Effectively applying graphic design as part of a strategy or campaign serves as a symbolic bridge that builds understanding, and can be used to motivate, educate and encourage wholesome living.” noted Nhat.

Bridge Creations aims to reduce the rate of health implications across the country by partnering with brands that offer services promoting positive health, and implementing graphics that can increase awareness for health issues and communicate value for effective solutions. “We are becoming more reliant on visual cues and stimulus to transport information, both for learning and news updates.” explains Nhat. “As we place more importance on graphics as a vessel for this information, rather than just for extra visual flair, business ideas can excel with connecting to their audience and communicating their values.”

The agency recently released a Case Study on their client Balance Mat, a balance/mobility management system platform who were struggling with their brand identity, and experiencing setbacks when trying to expand beyond their initial customer base of aged care facilities. Balance Mat is an innovative medical device designed to easily identify issues in posture and balance, and were looking for wider adoption to realize the full potential of their product.

The scope of the project involved a redesigned logo, which would be implemented on the business’s products as well as all of Balance Mat’s promotional material and website. The team at Bridge Creations understood that this was a redesigning of the client’s entire visual language, which needed to communicate the importance of sustainable body balance and increase awareness of posture-related health implications. The redesigned logo clearly and cleanly hit all of the project specifications, including a strong, cohesive brand image, as well as a positive response and increased awareness from consumers and investors.

“The impact of a logo has far-reaching implications beyond a static image on a website or business card. It is the first point of communication between your brand and your audience, conveying your brand’s voice and vision directly to them.” Nhat mentioned.
